Declutter your life: Start from your home

No one imagined how exhausting staying indoors 24/7 could be. Thanks to the pandemic we all now know the life of a new mom, staying indoors, sleepless and tired for weeks at stretch.

Life Hack version Home and Mind.

They are now one and the same. They always were. We took very lightly how much our home environment affected our mood.

A new baby in your house demands new life skills. Eliminating clutter both at home and within yourself will save you from stress after your baby arrives.

5 simple steps which have become my survival mantra for indoor harmony (mind and house version)

✅ Gain control : choose what you need and possess only that. Everything else is delete. I mean possessions, people, apps on your phone everything. Quality over quantity.

✅ Save your time : We didn’t realise how precious that me time can become. Hoard it. Talk only to people who cheer u. Also decluttering the unwanted will make a lot of time and space in your house. Imagine the luxury of extra space in your apartment. See your claustrophobia lift like magic.

✅ Saving money: we may not talk much about it but it’s the need of the hour. Chose what you want to buy wisely. Don’t impulse shop from home even though u might be tempted to. Invest in valuable and sustainable products.

✅Add patterns: to your life. Have a timetable follow it. 5pm should be tea time and yes 11pm should be bed time not early morning. Make a list of what u possess. I found I have 5 different plain black v neck t shirts 🙈 – donated!

✅Box your possessions : This is the best way to declutter homes and minds. We boxed up things of the same kind to realise how much unwanted and unused stuff we had. Clothes, make up, toys! By boxing up feelings I mean staying indoors we tend to dwell into the gloomy just because we have lesser distractions and less physical work. Talk to friends, hug your family more and be mindful of where u are. Don’t loose yourself in your thought train.

Are you going to reclaim your life or swim in a whirlwind of chaos? The choice is really yours. Also this can be very therapeutic in the long run.
